September 2023 E-update
September Meeting
At the September chapter meeting we had 51 members present. We voted on a change in our points system and a new points system was adopted. We had cupcakes and refreshments for all of the members after the meeting.
We had out first committee meeting with a breakout session, they had a team building activity to see which committee could build the tallest spaghetti and marshmallow tower. The members also reviewed the points system revisions before it was voted on. The white committee won with a height of 21 1/4 inch. All committee assignments will be posted online and in the ag room.

Greenhand Conference
Fall CDE Day (Homesite Evaluation, Land Judging, Nursery and Landscape)
In Homesite Evaluation, the B team placed third overall Tristan SW placed seventh and Haidn N placed fifth and medaled. The A team placed second overall Emily H who placed ninth, Noah B placed fifth and medaled, and Samuel D placed fourth and medaled.

In Land Judging, the B team placed third overall and had two people in the top 10. Emma G placed seventh and Mara M placed second and medaled. The A team placed second overall, and had four people in the top 10. Jace H placed eighth, Wyatt S placed seventh, Lora L placed fourth and medaled and Aaralyn A placed third and medaled.

In Nursery and Landscape, the B team placed 1st overall with four people in the top 10. Havilah M placed 8th, Kennedy S placed 4th and medaled, Sierra V placed 3rd and medaled and Lucas W placed 1sr and medaled. The A team placed 1st as well with all four members of the team in the top 10. Maddy B placed 6th, Lora L placed 4th, Jace H placed 2nd, and Jacob H placed 1st.

National Proficiency Award Interview
ENR Team Prepares for National Competition
The ENR team consisting on Lora L, Jacob H, Jace H, and Maddy B has been practicing since June. The team has been working general knowledge tests, ID, GPS, Waste management, and Water Quality. The team will participate on November 1st and 2nd. Good Luck!National Convention Attendees

Horticulture 2
The horticulture 2 class has been working on their raised beds in class and are almost done. The class has almost finished all the beds and one of them is planted with turnips and radishes and one with lettuce. The horticulture 2 class also transplanted their poinsettias into larger pots and fertilized them for the first time.
