NATIONAL FFA WEEK - Feb. 24-28 (Due to weather it was pushed to these dates. FFA week is actually 16-22.)
By: Dylan Anderson
“It’s National FFA Week!”
We all love to hear it! National FFA Week, celebrated from February 24-28 after being postponed due to weather, was a huge success! Bringing students together to honor agriculture and leadership. The week kicked off with Ag Knowledge Day and a Farmer Thank You, recognizing the hard work of local farmers. Tuesday’s Tractor Day showcased students’ passion for agriculture, while proficiency and state degree applications were submitted. Wednesday featured Chapter T-Shirt Day and SAE Degree Selection, highlighting student projects. On Thursday, members proudly wore their FFA jackets and competed in the exciting Hay Bale Toss. The week wrapped up on Friday with an Advisor Cookout, where students and staff enjoyed great food and camaraderie. The event was a fantastic celebration of FFA’s values, reinforcing leadership, service, and appreciation for agriculture.

We participated in meat judging on February 6th at Diamond C Food Service. Our teams competed well! A-team finished 2nd overall with Jace Huyett medaling in 5th, Lora Larison placing 6th, Madeline Bontrager in 7th, and Havilah Myers and Noah Bartel not far behind. Our B-team also ended with a 2nd place finish. Rebekah Dement placed 4th receiving a medal, as well as Tinsley Bradley, Lilly Stous, Julie Bontrager, and Heagan Aubert being on the team. JCLA Meal
By: Lora Larison
Thank you so much to the ten members who volunteered to help at the Jackson County Livestock Association meal and annual meeting. They helped set up, serve and assist in preparing food, and cleaned up after the event. It's moments like these that really line up with the FFA Motto of “Living to Serve”. Great job helping your community!
